Registrations for SWD in 2019 are below. Insecticides are only part of managing SWD. Growers need to use as many of these management tools as possible:
- Harvest regularly and thoroughly
- Cool fruit immediately after harvest
- Sanitation: remove unmarketable fruit from the field or crush it in the alleys
- Prune, trellis or manage the crop canopy to improve harvest efficiency and spray coverage
- When applying insecticides make sure to get excellent coverage; slow down, calibrate your machine, apply when SWD is active (morning and evening), and re-apply weekly and after it rains
- Rotate through the different chemical groups

13-07A Caneberries includes raspberries and blackberries and other brambles.
13-07B Bushberries includes blueberries, currants, gooseberries, saskatoon berries, sea buckthorn, elderberries, etc.
12-09 Stone fruit includes apricot, sweet and sour cherry, nectarine, peach, plum
Spotted wing drosophila is a serious pest in Ontario and suppression products may not provide acceptable levels of control. Do not make more than 2 consecutive applications of Group 5 insecticides.
