Jim Chaput, OMAFRA, Minor Use Coordinator, Guelph
The Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) recently announced the approval of an URMULE registration for Apogee® Plant Growth Regulator for runner suppression in strawberries in Canada. Apogee® was already labeled for use on apples and cherries in Canada.
This minor use project was jointly submitted by Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada, Pest Management Centre (AAFC-PMC) and US IR-4 in 2010 as a result of minor use priorities established by growers and extension personnel in both countries.
The following is provided as an abbreviated, general outline only. Apply prior to the beginning of runner initiation. Users should consult the complete label before using Apogee®.
