Apogee is a plant growth regulator used by Canadian apple growers since 2005 to suppress vegetative shoot growth, reducing the amount of dormant and/or summer pruning needed. Increasingly, many apple growers have come to rely on Apogee as part of their fire blight management program.
Fruit and Vegetable magazine is hosting a webinar by Dr. Julia Reekie, plant physiologist with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (Kentville, NS) on Apogee on Thursday, April 28th from 1:00 – 2:00 pm where you will gain a better understanding of how it works in your apple trees to control fire blight.
